| Today ,I was out and about, checking my local Owl boxes.I have 3 up for Tawny owls, and today I added a new one for a Barn Ow,l that has recently been reported to me!I like to check the Boxes early, just to make sure, the local grey squirrels haven't taken them over.Only 1 box showed squirrel activity, so I destroyed the nest before it has chance to breed! |
I know Martin the farmer, quite well and he was only too happy for me, to site my new box in a nice dry barn.I hope its to the owls liking!!

Always a fantastic experience to watch these birds in their local habitat, and a bonus when one decides to take a breather on a post!
